Mom and boys
Sorry it is so blurry - it is from our cell phone! I hope to download the "real" pictures from our camera this afternoon.

Friends
Nate, Max and Lucy.
Max is going to miss being a city kid with such good buddies so close. (One next door neighbor and one two doors down!)
PS: Notice the maple leaves. These kiddos are very into nature this summer! Max tells everyone who will listen how the Emerald Ash Borer Beetle killed all the Ash trees. Unfortunately, not that many people want to listen.

Soccer
Max has started soccer! So far he has been kind of shy because of the high number of "strangers." Each time he is getting more outgoing though!

Newest member of our family
House for Sale
We have been going like crazy trying to get our house ready to sell. Of course with two kids it seems like 2 steps forward, 1.8 steps back every day. This weekend we showed it to a labmate of Adam's who is just getting going on his house search. It was kind of like a mock run through of what it would be like to show it - we spent two days cleaning non-stop. And lots of things are already undone: smudges on the windows! cat hair on the carpet! papers here! there! everywhere! The realtor is coming over today so we'll see what final projects she recommends: painting the baseboards! cleaning out the cupboards! rearranging furniture!
But for now - I must do my dissertation revisions! What the heck am I doing blogging, anyway?! For a glimpse of how things are around here click on the Flickr widget to the right for lots of pictures.

Be still my heart
It isn't exactly what I was looking for, but what is a plant-loving mother to do when her darling child gleefully runs up with such a plant? Plant the yard purple, of course. I hope the (potentially, possibly, theoretically) new owners like it!
